That's great news! However, there is still the energy/GHG emissions problem since desalination is extremely energy-intensive, and most electricity still comes from fossil fuels. We must ramp up renewables and also explore water recycling and reuse options!

Not for Sydney. More rain falls on Sydney than the city can use. We have models that show the practicality and economics of collecting this and using it locally is a local and national benefit. Leave the water in the country. Beats desalination. Be ecological
