This fall UNITE HERE and the entire Alaska labor movement have run one of the strongest field operations Anchorage has seen. 12 canvassers, all working class members of the Anchorage community, knocked on 20,000+ doors to encourage our neighbors to stop this frivolous recall.

Our country has always been the strongest when working people made living wages and had good union jobs. It's work to get back to that, but we're beating these struggles every day. We just have to work together.
This Sunday Public Employees Local 71 are hosting a memorial day for workers. Safety at work can never be taken for granted, and we must always honor the workers who we've lost along the way. Please join us this Sunday to remember them. facebook.com/permalink.php?
