#BuildToLast is such an appropriate theme for this year's #DRRday and it is particularly relevant for the developing world to build disaster resilient infrastructure. @ResilientInfra is one step in this direction which I am sure would provide fruitful results in the near future.
The U.S. taxpayer has borne cost of 254 weather/ climate disasters since 1980 where overall damages/costs reached or exceeded $1 billion. The total cost of these events exceeds $1.7 trillion.
