Just self-imposed break after leaving Apple. Wanted to make sure I didn’t just keep doing the same old things on autopilot.
This was the first ever thing that I posted to Swift Evolution! Apparently there was some earlier discussion about “protocol forwarding” which derailed this whole discussion then
Oh that’s hilarious, since that was probably me doing the derailing. Forgive me; I had not yet seen the true use of such a thing!
Add ~3 features to enhance property wrappers and you could write anything like this.
I would rather write this in some very sugared way which also restricts the forward to a single expression which can be checked for mutability.
Having a statement block and a yield suggests it allows arbitrary code, which I don’t think is a good idea if we want to compile this “both ways”.
