The Ministry of Health has recommended self-isolation for 14 days for anyone who has recently been to Wuhan or Hubei province, or who has been in close contact with someone diagnosed with the virus.

** Coronavirus update: 31/01/2020 The World Health Organisation (WHO) have raised coronavirus to a “global public health emergency” to assist countries that might not be as well prepared for an outbreak. There are no reported cases in Aotearoa New Zealand.

UC is closely following Ministry of Health recommendations in addition to the UC Emergency Management Plan. Some of the measures implemented include requesting self-isolation for travellers arriving recently from Wuhan or Hubei, or who have possibly been exposed to the virus.
