  8. I've now been trying to generate graphics from using the freestyle SVG exporter addon. Occlusion from closer objects works just fine but so far didn't find a way to automate the intersections and had to make the seams one by one after grouping everything together

  10. Did some more experiments : ballpoint pen look amazing for detailed work ! Also try taping some places of a drawing to disturb the geometry and contrast it with hand drawn lines. Lots of possibilities to explore playing on layers of colours and medium

  11. I tried out printing sketches with the these couple of days it's super fun. Although fill colour is not taken into account when exporting to pdf or SVG so you need loops to clip all the polygons (the geomerative library is very useful for that)

  13. Stole that little mod trick to duplicate the sphere from the great fanzine amazing stuff ! Didn't really understand some part of the rest of the code so I just did it my own way but still great inspiration

  16. Today I tackled transparency, blending and passes. I also tried to move away from surface shaders to get into unlit ones. But after having used shaderMaterial for vert and frag shaders (pretty straight forward) way of handling things is very confusing to me

  17. That was day 2 of getting into coding shaders. I'm building up a small library of examples as I go along. Finally wrapped my head around what a dot product is and what to use it for ! Also have a precise understanding of how a Lambert and Phong-Blinn lighting model work

  18. is great however sometimes it's nice to learn to code stuff from scratch and properly understand the physics and maths behind it. These are small experiments from my first day digging into compute shaders. The syntax definitely needs some getting used to
