None of the kids wanted toys for Christmas this year, they just wanted cash. Understandable, but cash as a gift, while practical, always feels impersonal, so I made special packaging. Went over wellpic.twitter.com/urXVCHtDyW

This blew up, it seems. You're all very kind! Thank you! To answer some Qs - - All of them were made in photoshop, printed on cardstock, and cut to shape. I found pics of old blister pack figures online and either recreated them or heavily modified them, whichever was simpler

        - I made them sized to print on 8.5"x11" paper except the Funko one, which I formatted for 11"x17". Actual Funko boxes are bigger than that, but I wanted the bill to fill the window. Here's the pic I made if you want to do your own.pic.twitter.com/PbMiiGw2B2

        - I don’t have an Etsy (or time!), so I probably won’t make these to sell - feel free to do your own. I do have a Redbubble linked in my bio for my other stuff (all proceeds donated to RAICES). - I hope all of you who celebrate had a great Christmas, and I wish you a happy 2020!

Okay, this got momented, so I'm putting the conversation on mute now. Again, thank you for all the lovely comments! I wish I could keep up with all the kind words, you're mighty people. Happy 2020.

Right, since I've had a few... thousand people ask, here are the others (cleaned up slightly). No PSDs or AIs, I'm just posting JPGs. Print on 8.5"x11" cardstock (or paper, then glue to thin card - think cereal box). White border is so that they fill an 8.5"x11" sheet... (cont)pic.twitter.com/ZDgZZpfeha

... so you should be able to print them at 100% or "fill sheet" and have them come out right-sized. (Cont)pic.twitter.com/QDeXw3plLP

Once printed (and if applicable, glued to cardboard), cut the shape out. You'll have an eighth of an inch (ish - I wasn't being precise) of bleed on all four sides. Cut rounded corners as you see fit - real ones don't have sharp corners. Because children. (Cont)pic.twitter.com/xNDm4feo9c

Cut out the hanger-holes at the top with a small scissors or precise blade, like an x-acto knife. Maybe use a hole punch for the rounded edges? You do you, this guide's free. Off to the recycle bin with the offcuts. (Cont)pic.twitter.com/Kj4rU1nqUo

For the bubbles, originally I wanted to use plastic from used blister packs, but bits of the printed paper stuck to the glue on them no matter how carefully I removed them, and I didn't want to ruin the plastic trying to chemically remove the ugly bits. (Cont)pic.twitter.com/7ProxoSpsV

So I reused the boxes from these "paperweights" I got at Dollar Tree (I had used them to make tree ornaments). They ended up working really well, because they have tabs to open the top. No destroying the package to get the money! I just put the cash in and glued them on. (Cont)pic.twitter.com/Ov2ko3kYz8

(There might be other household packaging you can reuse for the plastic bubbles. I'm not a fan of buying non-recyclable plastic for trifling purposes - reuse whenever possible.) Aaaand then you're done. Go make someone's day, and happy new year. - Dpic.twitter.com/TZCXfnPzD1
