I feel like there's a flaw in this: if verification is to identify "real" accounts, does removing verification then declare those accounts "unreal?" It seems like this still doesn't answer the right questions.

I doubt @Twitter will actually apply the new standards identically to e/b regardless of publicity. W/ sufficient public exposure - e.g. POTUS - @Twitter will justify reviews w/ "overriding public interest" or adjust guidelines.
