We’ve been working on a new feature that prompts users to reconsider Tweet replies containing harmful language. After seeing that users changed or deleted their replies over 30% of the time when prompted, we published new research on this new approach. arxiv.org/abs/2112.00773

Keep your fave DM convos easily accessible by pinning them! You can now pin up to six conversations that will stay at the top of your DM inbox. Available on Android, iOS, and web.
A DM inbox on iOS. One of the conversations is swiped right and a pin icon appears on the left. The icon is tapped and the conversation moves to the top of the inbox under a new “Pinned conversations” section. All other conversations remain in a “All conversations” section below it.

we’re testing a feature you’ve been asking for when some Hosts start a Space, a Space card will be sent as a Tweet so listeners can reply, engage, and share…straight from the Space! we hope it makes it easier to see and participate in the convo. now testing on iOS and Android!
for some hosts on iOS and Android, a Space card will be Tweeted once they start the Space. The first screen shows the the reply button at the bottom right where it will tab into the Tweet detail of the Space card. The second and third screens show where you can reply to the Tweet. The fourth screen is once you send a reply to the Tweet.

Pinagpatuloy namin ang pag-update ng Twitter Spaces Spaces at mas pinaganda pa ito. Ngayon, maaari nang i-record ng mga Hosts ang session at i-playback kahit anong oras.

Video captions or no captions, it’s now easier to choose for some of you on iOS, and soon on Android. On videos that have captions available, we’re testing the option to turn captions off/on with a new “CC” button.
The transparent closed caption button. It moves up to the top right corner of a video of a person and someone in a gorilla costume walking together and talking. The video is tapped and pauses. The closed caption button is tapped, captions appear and read, “Anyway so now I’m stuck with like 500 bananas.” The filled-in closed caption button takes up the screen. Text appears: “Now testing Closed Caption Toggle”.
