Ex Cops son here. FWIW what would your thoughts be on asking the police for their badge number and station of attachment? Then you could call that station, ask to be put through to the station commander, and raise holy hell with them. After that, sic the media on the commander.
The media are asking me for statements, frankly, I'm tempted. I hope that I don't have to. I don't want to choke the non emergency with calls. I don't want to dox myself by giving away my local station. But I also want to live so

No one should have to consider risking their own safety to keep law enforcement in check or to make things change. I honestly hope that you get through this safely. I wonder if making your case more high profile through media might be the spark that helps many other creators.

That's a great point, although you might be able to get around that by, assuming the local area commander doesn't get their grunts to pull their thumbs from their asses, then going to a regional commander or the UK equivalent (If I remember correctly). Cont.

Then, if you give statements to the media, they can go after the regional commander or the chief of police, and keep your local station confidential. Also, the higher you go up the food chain, the worse it is for the person on the other end of the line to be in the media fire.
