Barrister here. Restraining orders aren't just for the abuser; they're also a message from the magistrate to the police that this is an especially serious matter. Not saying it will necessarily make a difference, but the people suggesting it are doing so in good faith.
He has a restraining order, he's repeatedly breaching it, the police have been sent the evidence. It didn't change a thing.
Ex Cops son here. FWIW what would your thoughts be on asking the police for their badge number and station of attachment? Then you could call that station, ask to be put through to the station commander, and raise holy hell with them. After that, sic the media on the commander.
The media are asking me for statements, frankly, I'm tempted. I hope that I don't have to. I don't want to choke the non emergency with calls. I don't want to dox myself by giving away my local station. But I also want to live so
