My grandma who has dementia, just called the police yesterday because she thought her purse got stolen from her home. In reality she just didn't know where she put it. The police came to her house in a matter of 2 hours and started investigating.

Out of all the times I had to contact police in the past, from times I had been a witness, for friends and family, being a victim of shit - allllllll the things - exactly 0 of them went well. Actually, not even well but... Anywhere at all. Zero. UK police do not care.
It sounds like the UK police are more concerned with trans people being misgendered or dogs being taught the Roman salute than they are with legitimate threats to a person's life. I'm so sorry you're going through this, Anita.
Yeah, the police need to sort out their priorities. They can break down doors of people suspected of hosting parties during the outbreak, with 4 person squads, but they can’t arrest a known threat to someone’s life, and protect the people they are meant to protect.
