People kept telling me to get one, but I kept reminding people that he doesn't respect me, my safety or the law, why would he respect a piece of paper. So many women here get murdered by people who have a restraining order against them. I already suspected this outcome sadly.

Sadly restraining orders r just their to provide weight after the fact. They don't prevent anything. It just allows harsher sentencing after it's broken & by then things can end poorly. Make sure ur neighbors have his pic. See if any r willing to patrol b4 you need to go outside
