I have never been paid to do a charity fundraiser on stream. But honestly I'm curious, Why is it OK to pay a streamer UNLESS they are streaming for a good cause?

Being paid to do a charity fundraiser seems very vain. You could be doing it because you want the pay out, not really caring about the cause, just the money. People doing fundraisers should do it for the cause alone, and if they do get paid, that should go back into the cause.
If people can make a living while they do good in the world, they can do it more. I don't expect to be paid for my charity work. But I'm not offended when people do good for a living. It's more admirable than making a living and NOT helping anyone.

In fact my sister used to run a charity and never took a penny as payment. It was a charity for disabled children and their families in the state where I live and was designed to help families with medical equipment at little to no cost to the families.

Honesty, if people are this concerned with streaming getting a portion of their donations. Donate directly to the charity. Unless I’m misunderstanding what the question or concern is o.o

I agree. I used to be in a position that I helped a lot of smaller streamers, direct donations, gift subs and the like to help others try to live their dream. I’ve even had some stories come back on how they paid it forward. That is where I find my happiness in life.
