It looks it could be a bad cable or connector on the monitor or computer. I don't suppose you rest your feet on the cables under your desk or catch them from time to time? Seen some very odd intermittent failures due to long term/intermittent strain on cables.
It's a new cable! And they are all tucked away from my feet. I try not to touch wires or devices if I can avoid it.
