can someone explainTo suggest it is the subconscious it to suggest that these phrases are an expression of my inner self, your identity, thoughts or feelings. which is misleading. The subconscious is not often used to describe all of the random data we have stored in the brain that tics come from.

Ohhhh, so what is it? You're right though, 'subconscious' implies a thought entrenched in your mind with intent behind it. But in the way I was using it, I just meant a thought that you weren't fully aware of. And I feel like you can have thoughts that mean nothing.
