So like....... *sighs* I don't think this is helping the tourette's community. I say this as someone who has tics exactly like this, but I've learned through some unfortunate experiences that it's really easy to perpetuate stigma, stigma that does hurt a lot of people.https://twitter.com/Tweet4nita/status/1072540958154211328 …

Thank you for responsible & for the record, I think what you're doing is really great. This wasn't meant as an attack on you. I guess I responded to it because I've done this on a smaller scale offline & had to immediately try to undo all the stigma I'd accidentally perpetuated.

Although my feelings have evolved about this since I posted it slightly. I do think we should be able to joke about our coprolalia and share our struggles with it, though I'm still weary about how we do so & the larger effect it'll have.

For the record, I can say that you've also helped me (and I assume plenty of others) have a more positive outlook on this crazy thing called life in the short time I've been watching you, and I have no 'tics' ...or outwardly evident neural condition.

I was diagnosed bipolar 2 years ago and generalized anxiety disorder 5 years ago. I really feel for people who have a hard time accepting themselves. My anxiety might as well be tourettes. I'm so happy to have found you, you are an amazing influence on me. anitaL
