Unlike the others, my video actually had a safety warning, where I explicitly state not to try the demonstration at home, and that the vid was for educational purposes only. The one w/ safety warnings gets pulled, but I can find 5 others w/o safety warnings of the same reaction?

Here's the same reaction where the gent *clearly* isn't wearing goggles, standing dangerously close at the start, where it's splashing molten potassium chlorate. (Does having 5 million+ subscribers mean you don't have to be safe in your vids?)https://youtu.be/JOHdZsQXw7I?t=34s …

Your community guidelines are confusing: You say you restrict videos that "...encourage dangerous or illegal activities that have an inherent risk..." Notice the word "encourage". My safety warning *discouraged* others from duplicating the reaction. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2801964?hl=en …

The email you sent me stated: "YouTube prohibits content where we determine there is an inherent risk of serious physical harm or death to those in the video, or others who may attempt to recreate it." Notice "encourage" isn't in this rewording of your Community Guidelines.

So, do you draw the line at "encouraging" potentially unsafe behavior or not? If videos that show inherent risk if someone untrained attempts to recreate it are prohibited, nearly *every* chemical reaction video on YouTube would need to be pulled. There's *always* risk.

And you know full well that there's countless popular science channels that show chemical reactions that would be risky to non-professionals. Just to be clear, I'm saying this all with a fully respectful tone. I just really want to bring awareness to this.

In "normal" TV, safety warnings have set legal precedent for decades, that, if shown before a risky activity is performed, neither the show nor the broadcaster are liable. Revising guidelines to define what can and can't be done with and without safety warnings is necessary.

It's confusing and a mixed message when your community guidelines, as worded, seem very strict (and at times, conflicting), and then you'll actually *recommend* to me on my home page, videos much more risky than the one you pulled.

Any consideration you can give this is thanked in advance (but if you reply, please don't use just a stock reply that everyone gets). Thanks.
