In just a couple hours there will be a vote on the House floor on my amendment to strip the #NDAA of a provision that authorizes our military to go to war with Iran, without limits, and without any constitutionally required declaration of war by Congress or debate.
My amendment upholds Congress’s constitutional responsibility to declare war, and stops this #NDAA provision that sidelines the American people and cedes congressional authority to warhawks like John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, and Nikki Haley

Thank you for your amendment. Unfortunately, too many of your colleagues have shown a willingness to vote for any war in the Middle East. And if the "target" is Iran they won't be able to contain themselves.
If they vote for war, that is their choice. Right now they are too comfortable letting the president choose.
Demanding a congressional vote on war is what the framers imagined when they rejected the idea of an executive with the powers of a monarch. The people vis-a-vis our representatives must regain and assume the reponsibility for war and its costs and consequences.
the people must assume responsibility and demand an end to all u.s. wars, and to hold u.s. officials who have committed war crimes accountable for their crimes.
Whatever Israel wants they get. Just weird. The individuals in DC need a history lesson. Trying to cripple countries that don't do Israel or Saudi Arabia's bidding is not good policy. It needs to stop.
