“Toward” is a better word than “to”. We can greatly increase renewable energy. I doubt 100% is possible, but moving upwards towards it is an excellent goal.

You may be the only person in the modern world who isn't aware of alternate energy sources. Why do we continue to use oil? It has nothing to do with needing petroleum. It's about choosing dirty sources over clean ones. For profit.
