If companies pay women less for the same work men do, wouldn't they hire all women? I mean think of all the money they could save! This statistic that keeps getting repeated is based on inaccurate, misleading information.

In certain fields, there is a gap. In others, there isn't. Female interests and proclivities are usually the most significant factors driving down mean incomes for women. Also more time off due to pregnancies, child-rearing. Most of the gap is attributable to non-nefarious causes

But Tulsi what about evidence that shows that the wage gap doesnt actually come from difference in wages and comes from the fact that men on overage work more over time hours annually than women do which would of course mean a higher pay because more hours?
