Unfortunately the majority of your colleague's are beholden to the fossil fuel industries. So a bill like this, albeit wonderful and idealistic, has no chance in a place where everyone is owned by big oil. Please run for president in 2020, we need you.

I’m totally for this policy. Our plant needs it however I believe democrats are not on board. Fracking and off shore drilling was at a all time high under Obama. Democrats pay lip service to climate change but at the end of the day they all serve their donors.

If we plan to get 100% off of fossil fuels, there will need to be a shift in plastics production towards bioplastics. As you know, petroleum based plastics are very important to industry & consumers in US and bioplastics are viable option. We need petro for more than fuels

What about trains hauling oil and gas? Trains will crash too.

It will be the poor and middle class hit the hardest as their energy costs go through the roof. Need to add a high tax on business to balance out.

What we have to do is put the hits to the environment in their entirety on their bottom line. We are still seeing pollution in the Gulf from the drilling blow out and there are leaks every day on those pipe lines. Let them find themselves taxed for the damages they do!
