The Health Care Workplace Violence Prevention Act addresses a glaring need - in 2014, 52% of all workplace violence involved healthcare workers. Nurses and healthcare workers' personal safety must be guaranteed so that they can provide patients with the best care possible.

“Code greys” (what our hospital used to call security to where there was trouble) happened nearly every day. 1/2 the time patient’s family was fighting; the other half was confused, brain-injured &/or mentally ill patients beating up staff. How do you legislate that stuff?
