Marijuana prohibition has little to do with safety and a lot to do with business.
It's such a useful plant that it competes with just about everything.
Many established industries see it as competition and want to squash it.

Federal marijuana prohibition has ruined countless lives without making us safer. The so-called "War on Drugs" has failed. We must pass H.R. 1227, The Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act, and find real solutions to the issues in our criminal justice and healthcare systems.

Advocate for medical cannabis. While I believe in total legalization, I know that may not happen initially. Chronic pain sufferers who cannot get OPIOIDS would benefit from this greatly.

1915 Harrison Act. started making drugs illegal. The failed War on Drugs is a scam, a failure. The addiction problem should be handled by epidemiologists. Not by police, courts ,prisons . It has a nasty racial component also.
