Establish a parallel non-investor real estate market. Investors can keep speculating all they want until the real estate bubble cows come home, but allow true community stake holders to facilitate a stable commodity that is not driven by ultimate wealth management.

#rentreform Renters pay 1/3 of income into a community fund. Landlords receive a payment from that fund based on Sq footage/bedrooms. Makes all housing affordable. As a recent visitor to Hawaii, our second trip, & we were there during the "missile crisis", the problem I see it is, that US wages are too low! In Australia our wages are higher than yours & people don't rely on tipping. $7 or $11/hr is not a liveable wage...
