But no matter what happens our nation just can’t really get to the true reasons for the violence. Coming from a so so neighborhood growing up I know folks who are pushed to the wall for what ever reason sometimes just lash out. Our nation has too many people on the edge.

It is not just a matter of banning this or that. I know that in my 14 mugging while living in NYC, Zero were at gunpoint. The robberies in our grocery, three were with firearms. Three out of 9. The rest were knives, bats or pipes. I want to know WHY did they feel the need to rob?
Well Tulsi , I would think that if that individual knew there were armed teachers or security at that school , he would not have shot it up . But he may have gone to a Football game , concert , etc ....and done something there . The gun did not cause the killings,a evil human did
The 2A's right to bear arms is meant to protect against a descent into despotism. A ban on the ownership of semi-automatic firearms easily falls within the purview of the 2nd amendment. (A despot governs by his or her own will and caprice.)
We need to stop selling guns to the mentally ill, first of all. That seems like a no-brainer, but, in classic no-brained fashion, Trump removed the regulations preventing they mentally ill from buying guns.
