We must engage in direct talks with North Korea to achieve peace. Unrealistic preconditions have failed us for decades. We need to de-escalate the nuclear crisis with the ultimate goal of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.

Some say that American aggression will cause Iran to want nuclear weapons as well. Iranians don't want these devices, but they live in a dangerous neighbourhood and are constantly harassed by those who possess nukes. #Israel. #US 👎💁👀🍺

If you denuclearize North Korea, the same thing will happen to Kim Jong Un and the Korean people as happened in Iraq and Libya when Saddam and Gaddafi gave up their nuke / chemical weapons. The US likes to de-arm and then invade. Nukes = peace.

Nuclear power status assures nations they will not be bullied and invaded by other nations. Given NK's history, NK's has taken the nuclear option to deter US aggression. NK is also aiming at unification with SK. Imagine what a united nuclear Korea would do to US hegemony /1

I think N. KOREA has been talked to for decades, but still continues to develop its nuclear program. Their nuclear program is a danger, and their intentions are worrisome. This should be a clear indication, that pressuring with sanctions needs to continue.

Sanctions provide dictators with a foreign scapegoat to blame their people's woes upon, solidifying their power. For recent reference, look up Putin's approval rating pre & post sanctions.

in the area. Only way to move forward is to end all war, occupation, and regime change power politics and focus on disarmament, diplomacy, and peace. Sadly with Trump's hikes in military spending and export of weapons, we are witnessing a new arms race (a waste of precious /2
