How will another law do anything? What he did is already illegal.
-
This is more targeted towards people who suspect/know about the abuse. One of the problems with the Nassar case was that girls were reporting and telling people what was going on but people weren't going to the police. This requires anyone who suspects or know to report to police

From reading the rough draft of the bill, it looks like it would require those in positions of power (coaches, doctors, physical trainers etc) to immediately report to police if they suspect and athlete is being physically or sexually abused. It's meant to prevent another Nassar

when’s Nassar eligible for parole??
-
Never. This latest sentencing was on top of his child pornagraphy charges. When the judge said "I just signed your death warrant" she was not joking. He'll never get out.

Good idea to not label this (very needed) bill with the silly acronyms that
@TheDemocrats so often use, and the opposition ends up exploiting and defeating by letting the acronym deflate itself. Using visceral names makes a bill happen.#Congress#Senate .@SenSandersThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
