I don’t know how the $ amount could be calculated, but it’s been a huge burden on Hawaii. Many of the COFA are hard working, yet homeless.
COFA migrants were promised care and services from the federal government, but it's Hawai‘i & Pacific U.S. territories that are spending tens of millions of dollars each year to keep their promise. Congress must increase funding so that we can support those who call Hawai‘i home.
