Don't know that #MedicareForAll is the ideal, but does seem like the most pragmatic path. Big yes to taking insurance companies out of the equation, also potentially private hospitals, drug reform. Capitalist all day here but it dont play w/ health care.

Rep. Gabbard- messaging thought to convert conservatives. "H.C. is a right" is a bad strategy, not in line w/ American trad. of negative rights. My slogan is: "Health Care: not a right, it' the right thing to do". Also call it Christian when someone calls it socialist (Truman).

I'd like to take the government out, too. May we opt out if we choose? Or should a bureaucrat decide my care for me?
-
Your insurance company is already part of a for profit bureaucracy that chooses what services you may receive and what drugs you can be prescribed. https://youtu.be/lezXTpEFzJ8

No thanks. I’ll keep my Direct Primary Care policy with
@Ashewellmed . It’s better than any government program could hope to be and it costs me all of $79.00 a month for real care...not insurance.@TulsiGabbard you know#govco isn’t capable of managing healthcare. -
For proof, see VA. Our most deserving are routinely turned away so that administrators can fatten their pockets. I’m with
@Starling570wwnc one this one...

What a great way to bankrupt the country and reduce health care quality, all in one fell swoop.

Our current system fucking sucks. It's rigged for drug companies and medical monopolies. $375,000 lymphoma treatment. $80,000 hep c treatment. $600 epipen. It's a racket. People on Medicare love it.

Insurance companies are a racketeering organization cloaked in double standards and arrogance. They don't follow their own rules, but the legislators have made them impenetrable to censure. They screw up and we bail them out. They are the bane of our existence as a nation.

Sounds like you’re describing our government.

Look at Israel. They certainly appear to have a healthcare system that works. Of course here at home we are paying them how much a day.....
