Eight years ago #CitizensUnited opened the floodgates of dark money and corporate contributions in our politics. We won't stop until we've overturned this ruling and returned our democracy to serving people before profits.

Overturning Citizens United is not the end goal. Banning ALL forms of private money from politics is the end goal. Our government was corrupted long before the ruling from eight years ago.

Absolutely but overturning #CitizensUnited is a good way to cut the head off the snake and expedite the processs or taking our country back.

Really to fix this all you need to fix is start enforcing bribery laws. If a campaign contribution matches an action by a politician, being jailed removes both parties from their positions of power. We just need to get the politicians & POTUS fingers out Department of Justice.

If DoJ can’t be fixed, states can write laws if they don’t have them and enforce bribery laws. One a couple of conviction are made the practice will stop.

It would help if progressive leaders like Bernie stopped enabling a swath of those corporatists who love Citizens United, commonly known as Democrats.

Yes! We have power in our choices every day, in what we buy, how we eat, what/who we support, standing up for our beliefs, how we engage in our own community, etc. The people already have the power. We just need everyone to wake up and use it. (And more leaders like you.)

Would love to discuss how the case could've been different. Unanimous decision with several liberal justices on SCOTUS. Whatever overturns the case needs to be carefully structured, otherwise you infringe on unions, Emily's List, NARAL, etc.
