I do admire and find agreement with you in many areas, net neutrality is not one. It's a law put in place to defend against something that has never occurred, stunts innovation and is simply a govt revenue source. Fight consolidation of industry into fewer hands, not free markets

The internet was funded by taxpayers, not by Wall Street. As for innovation, there is no evidence or logic that would support a claim that net neutrality should be sacrificed in exchange for profiteers providing an illusory benefit to the public which owns the internet.

Net neutrality imposes utility like regulations that are hurtful to small internet startups making their innovations cost prohibitive and if they are worth anything, a VC will come along and invest gain control, and sell to a Google or apple bury it. Check apple news for proof

Hence the logic behind their support for it. They are behemoths that are fixed in their approach. They dont want some small competitor with a better business model changing the game like they once did.
