I'm sure negotiating with Hitler was an option back in his day too... smdh. Direct negotiations are dependent upon the "good will" of the parties involved & their integrity. Otherwise you're just Neville Chamberlain

Hmm, which was "Hitler" again in your view?

The reason other nations go nuclear is to defend themselves from the U.S.

The US needs to stop being a big bully and stop thinking they are the greatest nation ever. This is not a trump thing, this is an American thing.

Kim Jong Un has no reason to give up the nuclear program after what was done to Gaddafi.

Tulsi Gabbard is one of the few who really understand the situation. It isn't often spoken about how this country is constantly playing war games of the North Korean coast to intimidate.

There is absolutely no reason for heads of state to trust the United States to keep our word with regard to regime change. Nuclear deterrence is keeping them alive and they know it. We did this.

Tulsi's talking sense. What's needed is a Peace Treaty to end the nearly 70 year old Korean War. The 1953 Armistice was just that - an armistice, an agreement to stop shooting at each other - but it did not end the Korean War. Time to do that. Now!

The US president doesn't know how to communicate properly with other leaders without being offensive. If hes not impeached, it will be the end of us all.

Too late. Hillary Clinton's toppling, and effective murser, of Moammar Quaddiffi, after he got rid of his WMD's, effectively killed that option. Why would any world leader trust us and disarm now after what we did to Quaddiffi?

There IS a proposal that has been ignored as it doesn't fit the warhawks manufactured narratives. Factions within the US want more war to further their own profit$/power.

China needs to step up their game and assure NK protection when they give up nukes. Negotiation and appeasement by prior administrations have brought us to this abyss....

See BBC World Service, "The Inquiry" report on whether China can help with North Korea.

Here's Tulsi Gabbard, just trying to save a million lives by avoiding war in the Korean Peninsula.

Thank you for being a voice of sanity in your party and the world. As someone disenfranchised from the 2 party system, you give me hope that there may be room at the table for sober, consistent and ethical politics.
