I agree, but the term "modernized" could be misleading. The original stipulations of the 1933 Glass-Steagall Act are absolutely necessary today. End of story. The foundation of economy is the increase of physical production. US gov cannot support speculative banking practices.
We need to break up the big banks and break their influence over Congress. It's time for a modernized Glass-Steagall Act and real campaign finance reform.

No. Just legalise bitcoin and crypto. Allow tax payments in bitcoin, ripple etc. Same result, less hassle ;)

I'm a fan of Bitcoin, but it's important to assume that all new technical solutions have been heavily invested in by the ruling class. Progress will require bottom-up solutions... Poor people can't by bitcoins!

End Fed pensions & perks for elected officials by limiting time in (same) office to 18 yr max. Anyone who can get elected should be able to figure out supporting themselves without too much trouble. Right?
