It doesn't matter what you do. You could eliminate every entitlement and you still couldn't pay off the debt. If our government didn't spend ONE DIME, it would take 10+ years of every tax dollar collected to pay off the debt. You know that! 
Good less money in DC means less power in DC. Need to keep most of the tax revenues in the states anyway, easier to keep an eye on the foxes in the hen house. Blanket legislation for 50 extremely different states doesn't work, and we don't want dependency on D.C.

I agree with Trump that a tax overhaul is needed. But I don't like how this will add to the debt and I don't think the current proposal is the answer. However, I don't remember Democrats upset when the debt went up $8 trillion under Obama.
