Yes, medical marijuana is generally prohibited by Federal and over 20 states' laws. I recommend you see Sanjay Gupta's (CNN) documentaries "Weed" parts 1-3. Part 2 details the hardship of medical marijuana refugees in CO-- one parent living with the kid in CO, other stuck in NJ.

It might also mean that transplant patients won't be afraid to seek out Doctors approval for Medical Marijuana, since MMJ will knock you off of the UNOS transplant list and force you into rehab if you want an organ.
