The military is scaling up their renewable energy use in order to be more secure and save taxpayer dollars. It's an approach that should be replicated across America.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/posteverything/wp/2017/11/13/cracking-down-on-foreign-made-solar-panels-would-make-u-s-less-secure/?utm_term=.86a602e92491 …

Too bad they aren't putting these panels on all rooftops instead of destroying all the land to plant them on the ground. In a way, defeating the purpose.

Even @Tesla, whose own domestic solar production ambitions would be forced to compete w/ foreign solar imports agrees these tariffs are bad. This is worse than bad policy, it's bad policy fueled by failing companies. -SolarWorld/German -Suniva/Chinese via Georgia @USTradeRep

This article is fear-mongering garbage, Tulsi. Tariffs on foreign renewables wouldn’t ‘put troops at risk,’ as this article claims. US should instead utilize the size of this atrocious military budget and strive for more domestic purchases

Having the military focus on anything besides being the most lethal in the world is a huge mistake.

Freeing troops from supply lines makes them more mobile and more combat effective as well as less vulnerable. Armchair generals talk tactics. Professionals talk logistics.

Cut this Military by 75% and it would still be way the hell to big. The US Navy dumps all of its garbage, oily waste, jet fuel and much, much more directly into our oceans well claiming to be eco friendly. Disgusting and criminal behavior.

What we need to do is mandate that when solar energy firms go out of business that they are liable for all environmental damage from the breakdown of their panels.
