After service members are prescribed opioids to treat their injuries, many struggle to overcome their prescribed medication's addictive nature, which Big Pharma knowingly concealed from the public. These manufacturers must be held accountable. #VeteransDay

I just heard yesterday about a guy who got addicted after dentist who removed his molars prescribed him 60 pills. I had a 9-hour 2nd massive hernia repair following trauma-induced hernia rupturing through my abdominal wall (literally spilled my guts), got 10.

CVS now won't fill more than a weeks' supply per Rx, making pain inevitable for the home bound in severe pain like your grandmother. And how many co-pays? They don't care while Drs. Hands are tied & big Pharma gets big tax breaks, donors to RNC.

Opioid addiction has become a problem. Opioids, (used daily by great Presidents and poets: Kennedy and Keats etc.,) have always been addictive if at times medically necessary. There should be some settlement, but truly educated people know the uses and pit-falls of opioids.

New research points to the social aspects of addiction. Isolated individuals have a higher chance of becoming addicted. Preparing veterans for successful civilian life is job number 1. Hopefully $ collected from big pharma can be spent on this.
