This year, Wells Fargo paid a $108 million settlement for charging military veterans hidden fees to refinance their mortgages. We have to break up the big banks and reinstate Glass-Steagall to protect veterans, and all consumers, from predatory banking practices. #VeteransDay

Why? She talks tough and then does nothing. She’s been in Congress for YEARS, what has she *actually done*?

Hidden fees, millions of illegal accounts opened in peoples' names, and still doing business. I guess I know what Wells Fargo is thankful for this holiday season.

They waited until I was deployed before suddenly charging interest to my previously free checking account without any ability to cancel the account.

We must also end the slavery, poverty and corruption of the B.I.S. It’s time for the Treasury to lawfully print the interest free US dollar.

Or quite charging them penalties that are a pittance based on what they "made" from their unfair practice. Start charging ruinous penalties and things might change. Probably not, but they might.

We have to expose, charge, and prosecute them for fraud. Put the CEOs in prison. Strip away their charters. Nationalize them like FDR did.

Serious question for you: What does breaking up the big banks mean? I genuinely don't know. Does it mean a return to the separation between consumer and investment (i.e. repealing G-S)? Or something more, like limiting bank size?
