Yes, & specifically the military ignored that he had been discharged from the coast guard due to mental issues. They accepted him anyway.

He was never mentally fit for duty to begin with. The Army deserves as much if not more of the blame for this than anyone. CG said not fit

I'm a vet & Bergdahl having been a POW for 5 yrs was enough incarceration. BTW, w/a dishonorable discharge he's going 2 be punished 4 life
