I understand, but government funding isn't a major reason tuitions are high. Colleges are now like for-profit companies, some build fancy things to attract wealthy students. Banks like to lend to students who pay high interest rates, so more $$ goes to banks and colleges.

The more people with college degrees, the less valuable they are. College only shows, in general, how well you can play the game.

Very little retention. Remove the stigma from the trades and show kids high paying jobs that actually exist in those fields.

We can guarantee #TuitionFreeCollegeForAll. We can and should also tax certain "Wall Street" activities and incomes therefrom. Each is independently desirable. The second is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition for the former.
