It is sad that this man faces deportation but why didn't he apply for citizenship a long time ago which is what he should have done.

You can only apply for citizenship after minimum of 5 years here as a legal resident. My assumption is that he was never a legal resident.

He was 15, never knew his dad. Smuggled in to be with him working mother. Just a clear indication immigration reform is needed.

There has to be some kind of a law for those that come into US as minors that allows them to go through a process to establish legality.
