Living in the Bay Area my income has stayed flat while apartment rent has gone to nearly 2k/month for 2 BR. ....

On top of that, moving into a new apartment costs 3k with first, last, and security deposit. Rents increase 10% annually

I sleep on the ground and sidewalks and the occasional floor because I can't afford to eat and pay rent at the same time. Sad.

So many trying to live on hour flexible service jobs at or just above minimum wage. Its a terrifying way to live.

its sad because we get taxed so much. Net income just gets us by.

Also we can't even qualify for Free/reduced lunch for my son because it goes off your Gross income!

I live in Las Vegas and I work construction. Since 2009 It has been rough. I've been unemployed more than not. Not much hope
