Last week, the @uscensusbureau reported middle-class household incomes had increased. This is good news, but we must look deeper.

We cannot ignore the fact that we’ve been digging ourselves out of the hole from the 2007 financial crisis & the middle-class has shrunk.
The @uscensusbureau data may show that progress is being made, but it’s very clear most Americans are not feeling this economic growth.

People are frustrated. They have bills to pay and children to feed, all while the cost of goods and services have risen exponentially.

We must do more to raise wages & create jobs. It’s time we start listening to working families instead of just looking at the numbers.

Sadly, it's a narrow band of the population that has actually benefited directly.

Actually, young adults increasingly can't earn enough for rent so they stay with parents.
