While I agree about civility and being able to work with people of different political persuasions (I live in a red county), Joe Biden didn't just engage in civility with the segregationists. He fought integration tooth and nail.

"Civility" with "good [American] Germans" who are now wringing their hands and saying we can't call concentration camps "concentration camps" is not possible. People who elegize and "work in good faith" with racists and segregationists is not civility, it's turning a blind eye...
