Progress is the American story. So much progress has been made in the last 140 years, but the true measure of progress is not the number of billionaires, but the ability of the disadvantaged to move forward and out of poverty.
Today, we commemorate the emancipation of slaves and those who sacrificed their lives for the enslaved. With the wasted trillions that's spent on the MIC , I think it's fair to say yes. Native Americans , African Americans, Japanese that were placed in internment camps & any other group that was robbed, enslaved , or oppressed.
