Teachers should be paid more, but it will only happen when we value their work. I am old enough to remember we once did. We also did this for airline pilots, now they are paid sh*t. These are terrible, literally deadly, incentives for our society.

Sure, sounds good. But first let’s raise the bar on the qualifications necessary to become certified.

As a spouse of a teacher I'll say that discipline is needed in and out of classroom. Teachers are not paid to raise your children and certainly are not paid enough to buy supplies for their classrooms. Free college is fine but we have 8th graders that can't read.

Seriously! Why don’t we pay tribute to Teachers at sporting events every once in a while instead of worship the military
