Insulin is overpriced and it’s killing Americans. Between 1997 and 2017, Big Pharma increased the price of insulin over 1,000%. People are dying because they can’t afford insulin. #PeopleBeforeProfitshttps://www.france24.com/en/20190402-focus-united-states-price-insulin-killing-americans-diabetics-us-health-medicine-pharma …

Remove lobbyists. This isn't a failure of the free market, or the pharma companies, or anyone else, it's government's failure, and no amount of regulating will fix it. Allowing powerful people with bottomless pockets into your government IS corruption. Stop it.

Allowing people to even get that much power and bottomless pockets is the real issue. Removing lobbying, while helpful, would only be treating the symptoms not the disease. That said I’m all for removing lobbying if that’s the best we can do right now.

True story, my meds for liver disease here in US is $900 a pill, in Germany it’s $600 and in India it’s $12. Thats not just greed but criminal.

While I agree that the greed of Big Pharma is a problem, I would really like to see a politician have the courage to talk about the health care industry failing to educate people, and the lack of responsibility individuals take, in regards to diet and lifestyle related illnesses.pic.twitter.com/57twKCSCiI

And I’d love to see a politician talking about how poverty restricts ppl access to healthy food... oh, forget it... Bernie’s being saying it for years.

In the UK if you have diabetes all medicine the doctor prescribed is free no matter how much you earn. Insulin is always free. We have an amazing free National Health Service. Thank god.

Not just insulin but healthcare in general is incredibly overpriced. “Free” healthcare may not be the answer but lowering the price of healthcare is a great first step.

You're right but insulin specifically is a drug absolutely necessary to stay alive for millions. My son would die in as little as a few days w.o it.
