Only small problem with this worthy goal — hemp is a bioaccumulator. All of the toxic Monsanto/Bayer, Syngenta, DuPont, Dow etc. garbage that’s been pumped into agriculture for years will be siphoned out of the soil like a straw. Good for soil, bad for end users of hemp products
-
Interesting. Could hemp be grown to clean the soil, and used to make hempcrete where it would not come in direct contact with food or animals? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hempcrete

Tulsi, statement on Julian, please!
-
@TulsiGabbard "This will have a chilling effect on investigative reporting of powerful government agencies or officials, including the president, intelligence agencies, etc. This is a serious breach of our constitutional freedoms and every American must stand up against it."

hemp (and cannabis) was outlawed because two rich people (Hearst and DuPont) wanted to make paper in a way that made them money and hemp threatened that gold mine. so they paid the govt to make it illegal

You'll win over many voters by demonstrating solidarity with Assange and standing on the side of free speech...
-
Waiting for your statement, Tulsi. I am confident you will be on the right side of history at this watershed tragic moment.

But not as a biofuel. We must rely on power that does not contribute CO2 to the atmosphere.
-
Still better than what we currently use, and will be a great resource as we transition away from burning fuel for energy.
