Space force should involve all the world’s space fairing nations and it should be focused on making sure that asteroids and meteors are detected long before they get and are deflected.

The age of asteroid threats is diminishing as the cosmos expands...slowly but it's discernible. There was a time when earth was pelted by meteors & asteroids like hail storms. Those times, those earliest deep times, have passed. We're safer than we generally think.
